Biography
«My passion for astronomy goes back to the time of Apollo 8’s mission in 1968. I have had this passion since then. It is thanks to my photography training that I became really interested in astrophotography at the end of 1978 with a 203 mm diameter Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. With the latter I obtained my first good photos of the moon and the planets.
Depending on the type of photos that I want to take and the observation conditions, I use different astronomy instruments (telescopes or astronomical scopes).
The most powerful instrument that I possess is a 355 mm diameter Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. I use it for high-resolution photographs of the planets and the moon (close-ups of different lunar regions), when the atmospheric turbulence is quite weak and the star high in the sky.»
