About this photograph :
Red Baron's Shoes
These photographic works address the interface between architecture and scenery in the broadest sense. Over and over again scales are checked and questioned by placing man with his inventions in wide landscapes and in front of large-scale architecture. Whether in front of buildings in endlessly wide landscapes or single people before immense landscapes (for example in "Ball Game") human beings appear to be visitors who seem to be committing one mistake after another. The photographs attempt to humouristically document this rather than valuing people and their actions.
