About this photograph :
Vietnam
A rural area north of Vietnam during the rice harvest. In the background a row of karstic peaks, characteristic of south-east Asia, the most well-known of which are in Halong Bay. The serenity of the scene contrasts with the living conditions of these farmers, who still practise a completely manual age-old farming which shapes the landscape in a stunning way.
