The Freewheelin - Don Hunstein

About this photograph : The Freewheelin

Bob Dylan’s career began at the age of 18, in 1959. He still influenced the music scene five decades later. These famous photos were taken in the ‘60s. He sang what could be considered anti-war pieces inspired by folk, country but also blues and rock’n’roll. Dylan was an idol for his generation and was considered a leader.
In 1963, Bob Dylan released the album “The Freewheelin.” It included many committed tracks like his first album. But he broke with folk tradition and revealed the hidden side of his character. For the first time, Dylan mainly sang his own compositions including the famous ‘Blowin’in the Wind.’ The album cover shows Bob Dylan walking in the street with his fiancée at the time Suze Rotolo.
